ORTIZ CONSTRUCCIONES Y PROYECTOS S.A. , our Colombian branch, was formed in 2010. We invest heavily in civil works, mainly for the Government.
We currently work in the public realm in the area of construction, without ruling out potential private projects in the fields of energy, water, building and environment.
The most attractive prospect in the Colombian market is the ambitious Grant Program led by the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI), to which the most important construction companies in the world have turned.
Grupo Ortiz, through its Colombian subsidiary, has, alongside other Colombian companies, been awarded the concession for a 145 km stretch of the Northern Connection motorway under the PPP scheme, and for a 137 kilometre stretch of the Sisga motorway for a period of 25 years.
In May 2015, Ortiz Construcciones y Proyectos Sucursal Colombia was awarded a new motorway concession in Colombia with investment under the PPP scheme, the Sisga Transversal, in consortium with Conexión Vía Centro-Oriente SPV, thus consolidating its position in the country as the top Spanish construction company and the ninth in the country overall in terms of revenue.
Revenues from this concession amount to 2.15 billion euros, with a concession term of 25 years for work on a stretch of approximately 137 kilometres.
The National Infrastructure Agency, a function of the Colombian Ministry of Transport, has awarded GRUPO ORTIZ, through its Colombian subsidiary, the concession under the PPP scheme for the Sisga Transversal Motorway.
The fundamental purpose of the Project, titled Sisga Transversal, is the consolidation of the existing Sisga Transversal corridor (Sisga - Macheta - Guateque - San Luis de Gaceno - Aguaclara) with works of refurbishment and relaying and attention to critical points that guarantee good traffic flow through this corridor.
The motorway in question has a proposed length of 137 kilometres and the contract is for a term of 25 years.
This is the second concession awarded to GRUPO ORTIZ in Colombia, reinforcing its position in the country as the top Spanish construction company in terms of revenue and the ninth in the country overall.
Ortiz Construcciones y Proyectos Sucursal Colombia, as part of the consortium Consorcio Autopistas del Noreste SPV, was awarded the concession for the Northern Connection motorway in Colombia, a contract under the PPP scheme within the Motorways for Prosperity project tendered by the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI).
With the recent award of the concession under the PPP scheme for the Sisga Transversal motorway, the group has consolidated its position in Colombia, positioning itself as the top Spanish construction company in terms of revenue and the ninth in the country overall.
We have also tendered for the contract of a private initiative.
